The 2006/2007 season was very successful for St. James Gate Hockey Club.  Our 2nds won Division 9 and were promoted to Division 8.  Congratulations to Bill Smith and his team on their great achievement.  Our 1st team also had a great season finishing joint top of Division 6 with Corinthians but unfortunately narrowing loosing the playoff.  Our 1st team were promoted to Divison 5.  Congratulations to Eugene Ronan and his team.  We are looking forward to continued success in the 2007/2008 season.

St James's Gate Hockey Club is one of the oldest hockey clubs in Ireland, founded in 1928. The St. James's Gate Hockey Club developed from a single team club in 1928 to a club fielding 2 teams today.  Our 1st XI play in Division 5 and our 2nd XI in Division 8.

In 1997 the two grass pitches were replaced with a sand-based astroturf pitch. Over the years the club has won many of the trophies in Leinster competitions.

The club actively works to develop the standard of hockey and recruits and coaches young players.

St James's Gate Training

We train every Monday at 8:00-9:30 and Thursday at 8:00-9:30 from mid-August until mid-April.

St James's Gate Social Scene

The club has a very active social scene. The excellent facilities at the Iveagh Grounds make the bar a focal point for players and supporters after matches.  The club also organises many social events including golf classics, trip to tournaments at home and aboard, race nights, end of season dinner, dinner dances...
